My mother's hand
Yed Yemma is two people: my mother, who crochets, and me, who handles everything else. There is no workshop, no team, no subcontracting.

The name
يد يمّا
“My mother's hand”. The name says who makes it, how, and why this isn't a factory. No agency would have done better.

The motif
One square, two readings.
The crochet granny square and the Amazigh rug motif are built on the same grid of concentric squares. A Moroccan sees a rug. A fashion buyer sees crochet. Both are right.
The proof
Numbered by hand.
Every piece carries its number, written by hand on the tag. That isn't decoration: it's the only honest way to say there will never be two the same.

The limit
10–20
Ten to twenty pieces a month.
That's one person's pace, and we don't hide it. If demand outruns it, we lengthen the lead times or we train someone. We won't have it made elsewhere and keep the same name.
